Nicole Flattery, Tom Morris and John Patrick McHugh talk about their adventures in writing with novelist Sally Rooney.
John Patrick McHugh was born in Galway. He was awarded the Maeve Binchy Travel Award, and his fiction has appeared in Winter Pages 2, The Stinging Fly, The Tangerine, and Granta.
Nicole Flattery lives in Galway. Her fiction and non-fiction has appeared in The Stinging Fly, The Dublin Review, BBC Radio 4 and The Irish Times. She is the recipient of the White Review Short Story Prize 2017.
Thomas Morris was neither born nor lives in Galway, he’s from Wales. His debut story collection, We Don’t Know What We’re Doing (Faber and Faber) won the 2016 Wales Book of the Year, the Rhys Davies Fiction Trust Award and the Somerset Maugham Prize. He devised and edited Dubliners 100 (Tramp Press), and is a contributing editor at The Stinging Fly. In 2017-18, he will be writer in residence at UCC.
The event will be chaired by writer Sally Rooney, award-winning author of Conversations With Friends.
